After working with alpaca fibers for two weeks, I have completed all the projects and they are now at a show with the vendor, Empty Pockets Alpaca Farm, in Myrtle Beach, SC. By next Friday I hope to show some work on holiday (Christmas) projects, just for fun! Stop by at “Off the Wall Fridays” to see what other folks are working on!
Those are all gorgeous, I particularly like the top bag. I’ve never done any felting projects, but it looks a lot of fun.

I felt with both a Janome Felting machine and the Nuno method which uses soapy water. Since I am a beginner in working with alpaca, I will send you to a web site that has good information on the process.

Do you live near Greensboro?? I’ve seen the Empty Pockets folks vending at some local quilt shows this fall–but didn’t really know what to do with their stuff. Do you felt with an embellishing machine? I would love to see more on your blog about how you actually do it!
