I’ve had an image in my head using traditional quilt patterns to create a corded bag, so I finally had time to bring the idea to reality. Â I used a variety of black fabrics and even some ribbon. Â Here’s the result… it’s one I will carry. Â It was quick and fun to make using a sloppy log cabin design. Â Next, I want to design one using wool fabric and tightening the design a bit. Â But first, some charity quilts for the Linus project. Â I have three started … so Off the Wall Friday will get a glimpse of those in my next post.

I don’t understand. if you’re using a log-cabin design, where does the cording come in? is it a liner?
and btw – Love.It. 🙂

The cording is in between the front piece and the lining piece. I don’t like how that turned out, so I want to try another one and tighten it up a bit so the cording gives more of a roundness to each piece. Work to do. Mary Ritter https://muniqueblog.wordpress.com
